As you can see, this frame arrived — quite literally — in several pieces. In addition, several pieces of the frame were missing which required custom fabrication to replicate those missing pieces.
Once the replication was complete, the entire frame was thoroughly cleaned, meticulously re-assembled and finally stained to match its original color and texture.
This “family treasure” had a great deal of sentimental value to its owners. So it’s worth noting that “resale value” or “profit” is not always the main reason to restore an old frame back to its original glory.
